SAS fabrics superstore
(Let me just give you a tine-tee little disclaimer. This store is nestled between Centerfold's Cabaret (which is surprisingly busy all the time) and a sketchy mc-sketcherton business park with lots of places to get kidnapped. However, it is also close to the Entenmann's bakery outlet (score) and there is a QT across the street (double score). Sometimes you have to get out of your comfort zone to find great fabric deals!)
You'll quickly forget about all that when you walk in and see this:
This store seriously has everything. I also appreciate the neatly folded scraps of fabric. Anytime I have a project that involves fabric I turn to SAS first. I also love to just wander to gain inspiration if I have some free time. If I can't find what I'm looking for, then I begrudgingly move on to other more expensive outlets.
In addition to fabrics, they have a lot of fabric-related accessories as well as random stuff that's super fun (like masquerade masks and giant peacock feathers). Everything is organized into fabric categories i.e. knits, silk, upholstery, outdoor fabric, fleece and so on. Let me show you around...
Have you been to SAS before? What other fabric store gems do you love?
